Early Childhood Centre Initiative Grants
CHANCES PEI - Smart Start
Smart Start continues to integrate early childhood and family programs and extend its reach to families living in Charlottetown, including the start up of programming at second school site. CHANCES is working in partnership with the Early Child Development and Education Department of the provincial government, Holland College and Public Health.
Carleton County Community Vocational Board, Carleton County
Continued funding for the Carleton County Early Years Action Group (EYAG) allows the group to coordinate four Early Childhood Development Centres as demonstration sites and work closely with Step Ahead, the government support centre located in Bath. EYAG will develop a strategic plan for its long term sustainability.
Le Centre de Ressources Famliales du Compte de Kent, Kent County Early Years Action Group
The group will start-up an integrated early childhood centre demonstration site in Richibucto with Family Resource Program, school and child care partners in September 2010. The site is located at Ecole Soleil Levant and will be called "LA BOUSSOLE [The Compass] - Centre de la petite enfance et de la famille de Richibucto.

Health and Education Research Group
The Health and Education Research Group (HERG) continues its three-year ongoing evaluation of the Foundation’s Early Childhood Centre Initiative in PEI and New Brunswick. Work includes ongoing data collection and documentation tracking the integration of early childhood programs based in school settings.

Le Phare Familial, Moncton
The Universite de Moncton will work with the group to develop a tool to monitor progress of Francophone minority language children attending the Early Childhood Development Centre demonstration site in Moncton.
Better Child Care: Early Years Study 3
Better Child Care will organize the development and production of Early Years Study 3 to be launched in late spring 2011. EYS 3 will include an update on the science of early child development, an environmental scan of early childhood programs in and out of schools and an audit of public policy initiatives since the release of EYS 2 in 2007.
Early Child Development Partnership Initiative Grant
Centre of Excellence in Early Child Development
The grant supports core operations of the Centre of Excellence in Early Child Development (CEECD), including revisions, maintenance and dissemination of Early Child Development Encyclopedia. CEECD provides support to the Atlantic Canada Early Childhood Centre Initiative, particularly those sites located in Francophone communities.

Better Child Care
Better Child Care provides communication support MWMFF and for the Early Childhood Centres Initiative in Atlantic Canada including the preparation of a semi-annual newsletter and media relations.
